About the Ministry
At Calvary Baptist, we believe that caring for our community starts with meeting basic needs. The Empty Tummy ministry is dedicated to providing food assistance to individuals and families in Shelby who are facing food insecurity. Inspired by Christ's call to love and serve our neighbors, we aim to nourish both the body and the spirit in a welcoming, dignity-affirming environment.
How We Help
Food Pantry: Distribution of non-perishable food items.
Prayer Support: Offering compassionate prayer, spiritual encouragement, and prayer request submissions for guests and families.
Community Outreach: Partnering with local organizations to reach those most in need.
Get Involved
Donate: We accept non-perishable food items, monetary contributions, and essential personal care products.
Volunteer: Help us sort donations, pack food boxes, or serve meals during distribution times.
Spread the Word: Connect anyone you know who might benefit from this ministry to our team.
